We cannot say enough good things about Kamloops Montessori Preschool. We were so   fortunate to find such a wonderful school after moving to Kamloops in January, 2011. Our then 3-year old daughter Sophie went from a shy and quiet little girl, to a confident and knowledgeable little student! We were amazed on a regular basis as Sophie would come home and tell us about the science experiments, math, reading, and music that she was learning and enjoying. Sophie learned everything from the life cycle of butterflies and frogs, to the names and a little bit about many countries (and so much more). She also learned respect, cleaning up after play and looking her teachers in the eyes and shaking their hands before and after school every day. Perhaps most importantly, Sophie loved going to school every day- and it was so satisfying to join Sophie from time to time at school as she showed us all she was doing and learning. After a year and a half, we were disappointed she had finished. We cannot thank Miss Michealla and Miss Amanda enough for helping Sophie grow up so positively, coming out of her shell and achieving such high academic progress. We highly, highly recommend Kamloops Montessori Preschool for anyone who wants the best for their children.

The best thing we ever did was to enroll our daughter into Kamloops Montessori pre-school. Kamloops Montessori pre-school is more than an approach to education; it is an approach to life. The teachers of Kamloops Montessori pre-school are devoted to help each child grow to his/her full potential by building confidence, competence and self-esteem. The teachers believe in encouraging children to learn to live responsibly in the world. They embrace the idea that children need to learn to think for themselves, thus teaching them how to think instead of what to think. Through love and dedication children are inspired to live passionately and compassionately in their community, fostering independence and social responsibility.

All three of our children attended Kamloops Montessori Preschool/Kindergarten and it was a life changing experience for all of us. Listening to the teachers and their unique perspective on how children see the world and learn from it, made me a more patient and understanding parent. We saw how our children loved being able to choose what they wanted to do and learn about. It gave them a sense of independence which grew into confidence as they mastered each activity. Without even realizing it, our children were being taught time management, public speaking, conflict resolution and respect for others, among other things. Every child deserves to have these life skills at hand.

In their Kindergarten year, being the "big kids" in the class allowed them to experience leadership and nurturing skills by having the younger ones look up to them for guidance. We’ve seen each of our children's confidence and maturity blossom in this third and final year at Kamloops Montessori.

I can't say enough positive things about this school. Give your kids a gift that will literally last a lifetime - give them a Montessori education.

Our son, Nate, attended Kamloops Montessori for two years. Kamloops Montessori has been instrumental in Nate's development.

It was always comforting dropping Nate off into such a warm, calm, welcoming environment. Nate was always greeted with such warmth and positivity from his teachers.

These past two years have been ones of tremendous growth for Nate. Your program has taught him to refine and build on his fine motor skills, letter cognition, math skills and to write his name! He has learned respect, responsibility and what it means to be a good friend. The Montessori curriculum has also taught many other important lessons such as what peace and love mean. The tireless efforts of his teachers, Miss Michella, Miss Kirsten and Miss Amanda, have created an environment that has allowed Nate's self confidence to soar. I cannot say enough about the wonderful teachers in this program. This program generates a wonderful sense of enthusiasm in the students.

We could not have asked for a better start on his educational journey.

Our son has been at Sahali Montessori preschool since he was 2 ½. He is now 4 and preparing to enter kindergarten next year. We have watched him grow from the quietest, smallest child in the class into a confident leader. Miss Joy and Miss Jasmine are supportive, kind, generous teachers with boundless patience and creativity. They are dedicated to the children and have taken the time to get to know them as individuals, addressing their needs and finding ways to challenge each of them. Our son has learned numeracy and literacy skills exceeding our expectations, but more importantly, he has learned to be a good member of his classroom community. His time at preschool has given him the foot up he needs to enter kindergarten with confidence and self-sufficiency. We are very glad we started our son’s education at Sahali Montessori Preschool.
